Leonard Benowich

Len’s extensive experience in commercial, business and employment matters has enabled him to be a creative, persistent and successful mediator of a variety of disputes. Having practiced both in large law firms and maintaining his own practice for more than 20 years, Len has “seen it all,” and understands the strategic and emotional issues people confront when facing a thorny and intractable legal problem. Len was among the first lawyers in New York to be trained as a mediator for the United States Southern District of New York ADR Program and is on the New York State Supreme Court, Commercial Division mediation panel. Len also serves as a mediator when retained privately.

Len has more than 35 years of experience as a litigator in the practice areas of corporate and commercial law, partnership, real estate, employment and other business disputes. He has been named a SuperLawyer in the area of “Business Litigation” each year since 2008. Len also represents and counsels business owners and senior executives in employment matters including contract negotiations, separation agreements, termination, discrimination, wage-and-hour disputes and executive compensation matters.
